Overview

Faculty of Electrical Skills Education was founded in July 2017 with the goal of developing professionals who are fully capable of maintaining the various electrical equipment/systems currently used in the industries. This is accomplished by providing them with high-quality education with a focus on practical training. Considering the enormous potential in the solar field and the nation's efforts to meet the goal of producing 275 GW of electrical power through solar energy by the year 2027, the faculty also seeks to educate and prepare students to become professionals par excellence in the field of Renewable Energy Technology.

The curriculum is based on the Swiss Dual System, which emphasizes practical training more to ensure that graduates are prepared for the workforce. To accomplish our stated goal, the faculty has well-equipped laboratories, a well-stocked library, and competent and experienced staff and trainers. The Faculty's presence of highly qualified and vertically specialized Swiss Trainers contributes to the students' increased professional competence.

All of the students are placed in relevant industries for internships every other semester by the university's very active placement offers, which helps them further develop their practical abilities.

The faculty makes an ongoing effort to stay up to date on the newest tools available on the market in order to alter and amend the curriculum so that our students stay knowledgeable and talented in their specialised sectors. The Faculty of Electrical Skills Education provides a variety of programmes, ranging from a skill certificate, diploma, advance diploma, bachelor's degree, master's degree, and PhD in various research areas related to smart power system, microgrids and renewable energy technology.

Objective

The programs under the Faculty of Electrical Skills Education are designed to:

  • To prepare students for employment and teach them a variety of electrical skills and make competent for industry.
  • Train students in RET skills so they can go on to become professionals and take part in the drive to increase the usage of solar energy in India in accordance with government policies.
  • To prepare engineering graduates and B.Voc Electrical students to work as professionals in the field of smart power systems, as well as to identify the key areas of research in the area of smart grids.
  • Give them the knowledge and guidance they need to succeed as business owners or employers rather than job seekers.
  • Train students of electrical skills and renewable energy technology skills to make them competent enough so they are capable of competing in international skill contests.

The faculty is equipped with the best of the infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty to realise this aim.

Our focus has always been to produce competent professionals, in Electrical and Renewable Technology Domains, who will prove to be an asset to any organisation they join in. We also equip them equally well to become successful entrepreneurs, should they decide to be on their own. In addition to the development of professional competence of students, we continuously strive to develop their personalities to enable them live a successful and enriching life.     HILTI Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd., Gujrat organized 28 days (7th Nov, 2022 to 8th Dec, 2022) training program to provide new and innovative skill based learning to their employees at Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur. In order to acquire knowledge and skills in the module “Electrical Assembly”, all 23 employees were sent to the “Faculty of Electrical Skills Education”.
